Do Good

After what happen in Japan, we can’t just watch the news for a few hours and think how sad and then get back to our most recent episode of Jersey Shore. These our people’s lives were talking about here, it’s about someones mother, father, sister, or brother, what if it was your family? It doesn’t matter if you “feel” like it or if you want to, we should, must, have to, need to all do our part. So what can we do?

According to Relief Organizations the best way to help Japan is by Donating Money, yes I understand that it might not be as exciting as putting on a cape and flying to Japan to save the day, but it’s the best way. The good news is that you are enabling others from The Red Cross, The Salvation Army and other organizations to practically do that, which in turn means you are playing a huge part. Without your money they can’t do what needs to be done. So to keep it short, sweet and simple, as to not overwhelm you with choices but to enable you to at least do one thing, here are three really simple ways to donate.

-Text “RedCross” t0 9099 to make a one time $10 donation to The Red Cross

-Text “Japan” or “Quake” to make a one time $10 donation to The Salvation army

-Donate any amount to Japan through Mercy Corps by clicking HERE

Give up your daily Starbucks, energy drink, or bottled water for a couple of days and instead donate that money, it’s that simple.

There are many other ways to help, Artists have come up with T-shirts and poster prints in which 100% of the proceeds go directly to Japan. For more ways to help, check out Ben Jervey over at Good who is constantly updating a list of several ways you can help.

However you do it and Whatever you do, do this one thing. HELP JAPAN.
